BJ Penn has announced that he will come out of retirement to meet promising welterweight Rory MacDonald.

MacDonald recently spoke of his admiration for Penn, and said he would love to fight him at some stage.

Penn responded on his website: "Rory, I accept your challenge!" The bout will reportedly take place at UFC 152 on September 22 in Toronto.

Penn has been out of action since retiring from the sport after a disappointing loss to Nick Diaz at UFC 137.

MacDonald, 22, looks to have a bright future in the UFC, having already defeated the likes of Nate Diaz and Che Mills.
