Junior Dos Santos was impressed by Cain Velasquez's performance at UFC 146, and he is pumped about the prospect of rematching the former heavyweight champion in his next fight.

Dos Santos successfully defended his belt on Saturday, knocking out Frank Mir in the second round in another impressive Octagon display.

That victory came moments after Velasquez had demolished Antonio Silva, seemingly booking the next title shot in the process. If confirmed, it would be the second time Dos Santos and Velasquez have fought after the Brazilian won the first battle in 64 seconds.

Dos Santos was impressed by Velasquez's win over Silva, despite Silva looking extremely sluggish on UFC debut. Asked if he is happy to grant Velasquez the rematch, Dos Santos did not hesitate.

"If the UFC wants to see that fight again, let's do it," the champion stated.

"Cain Velasquez surprised me a lot, Bigfoot [Antonio Silva] is a really tough fighter, I train with him, he's very strong. But Cain Velasquez came in with a good strategy and won the fight.

"So if the UFC wants to see that fight again, let's do it."
