Roy Nelson stole the show at Wednesday's UFC 146 open workouts, poking fun at the recent troubles of Jon Jones.

Nelson is preparing to fight Dave Herman this weekend, knowing defeat would land his UFC future in serious jeopardy. Not that he looked under pressure in front of the media glare.

Asked to sum up his rival, Nelson opted to have some fun with the fact that the UFC's most prized asset, Jones, was recently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

"He's a realistic threat," Nelson said of Herman according to MMA Fighting. "He's the white version of Jon Jones, tall, lanky, unorthodox, you don't know what you're going to expect. At one time, he liked to party. So, you know, just like Jon Jones."

The comment drew laughter from Herman, who was labelled "unpredictable" by Nelson. Herman only stepped in for the fight after Nelson's original opponent, Antonio Silva, was moved up the card, but Big Country seems to like the battle with Herman better.

"Dave's one of the most versatile guys out there," Nelson said. "He'll take you to the ground and submit you, he'll ground and pound you, he's more versatile when it comes to unorthodox stuff. You know, with Bigfoot, he's going to plod, he's going to kick you, he's more predictable the things he brings to the table. Dave is more unpredictable."
