Rampage accuses Evans of having glass jaw in Twitter row
The trash-talking between Quinton Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans has hit the Twitter realm, with Jackson accusing Evans of having a "glass jaw".
The pair finally meet at UFC 114, bringing the curtain down on a long-running feud that began after Jackson beat Evans' team-mate Keith Jardine at UFC 96. The two former UFC light-heavyweight champions squared up inside the Octagon, with Jackson declaring it was time for some 'black on black crime'.
Jackson and Evans were supposed to square off after they became rival coaches on season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter, but a blockbuster movie opportunity as Mr T in the A-Team took Rampage out of action.
Now the pair will finally collide on May 29, and Evans began the Twitter trash talk by posting a youtube link of Rocky Lockridge crying like a dying walrus, insisting Rampage was "gonna cry like this after our fight."
Rampage, who has been knocked out three times in his career, responded by saying: "A man with a glass jaw shouldn't talk so much crap. Get the bottom of your feet sponsored son... cause you getting laid out!
Evans reacted by reminding Jackson of his defeats to Wanderlei Silva (twice) and Mauricio Shogun Rua, saying: "I got KO'd once bruh! You've been KO'd three times! I'm not a mathematician but I'm almost certain three is more than one... Get it togetha!"
Now Jackson, who claims he has never been fitter, is promising to inflict a painful defeat on his opponent at UFC 114, claiming: "I'm not training to beat Rashad Evans. I'm training to destroy him."
