Chael Sonnen has continued his baiting of UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, insisting he is only staying unbeaten because he picks his opposition.

Sonnen is just days away from fighting Michael Bisping in Chicago. The winner, according to president Dana White, is destined for a title shot against Silva.

However, Sonnen refuses to believe that the champion will agree to rematch him. The American has constantly called out Silva, but so far the Brazilian has claimed he doesn't deserve a rematch after being submitted the first time.

Speaking to Gareth A Davies, Sonnen compared Silva to former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson - revered as the most dangerous puncher ever by certain respected observers, but clearly overrated in the eyes of Sonnen.

"You will have to talk to Anderson Silva to ask him why he has turned down the rematch with me," Sonnen told Davies. "For me, it's plain and simple. I will fight with anyone at the weight class - Anderson Silva is just a closet champion.

"Anderson Silva is as fake as Mike Tyson was. They called him the hardest, 'the baddest man in the world' but he wasn't even the toughest guy in America and we had to sit through and listen to that over and over again as he fought lots of tomato cans.

"Anderson Silva has no interest in the fight with me and I don't know what his deal is."
