Phil Davis has promised Rashad Evans that he will be a totally different fighter from the man who edged past Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, stating that he is in a completely different physical shape.

It is well-kept secret that Davis was not fit for his last outing against Nogueira. Mr Wonderful suffered a sprain prior to the bout, which severely hindered his capability to explode.

In the end, Davis negotiated a tough seven-minute period during which he could not take Nogueira down, meaning he had to fight the Brazilian's fight. Eventually Davis found a way to wrestle his way to a decision, but he insists Evans will not get off so lightly.

The pair battle in the main event at this weekend's UFC on Fox 2 show, and Davis is 100 per cent fit to stun the world by taking out the favourite.

"I'm definitely feeling a lot better than I did before 133," Davis told MMAmania, referring to the knee problem that forced him out of an initial bout with Evans.

"I just, my legs couldn't go. I couldn't go and that's a hard feeling but I definitely feel better than that. I feel great. My body is feeling great and I was able to train pretty hard for this fight."
