Rob Broughton has been given the chance to rescue his UFC career after he was pitched on the UFC 142 card against Edinaldo Oliveira.

Broughton has suffered back-to-back losses in the heavyweight division, and both have come in fairly forgettable style to Travis Browne and Phil De Fries. A third straight loss would make it difficult for the Brit to stay with the promotion.

However, helping Broughton's cause is the fact he took his last fight on late notice, effectively helping the UFC out of a tight spot.

Now, with a full training camp behind him, he will hope to get back on track against Oliveira, a 6ft 7in knockout specialist. The Brazilian is undefeated and will be backed by his home support on January 14.
