Richard Gasquet and Feliciano Lopez reached the final of the Aegon International in Eastbourne after both players won their last-four encounters in straight sets.

Gasquet beat Denis Istomin 6-4 6-2, while Lopez defeated Sam Querrey 6-4 7-6(4).

Top seed Gasquet had six break point opportunities in the match and converted three of them to wrap up victory in 71 minutes as he bids to win an 11th ATP World Tour title on Saturday.

"I played a good match today. It was important to play well because Denis is dangerous," Gasquet said. "The key on grass is to serve and return well. I managed to do it. I'm very happy with the way I played, because it's always difficult to play on grass... You need to be strong on every point."

Lopez played his suspended quarter-final match against Jeremy Chardy on Friday, which he won 6-3 6-4, and went on to win his semi-final against Querrey in 77 minutes.

Lopez is into his second grass-court event final in the space of a week after losing to Grigor Dimitrov at Queen's last Sunday.
