David Ferrer claimed his 50th victory of the season as he defeated Grigor Dimitrov to reach the Swedish Open final.

Ferrer, who is chasing his fifth title of the year, denied Dimitrov a place in his first ATP Tour final with a 6-3 7-5 victory.

Dimitrov was made to pay for a slow start as he trailed 3-0 in the opening set but had a chance to force the match to a decider when he had set points at 5-4, but Ferrer held firm to wrap up victory in an hour and 34 minutes.

The top seed will face fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro in Sunday's final after the world No. 10 breezed to a 6-4 6-3 win over Jan Hajek.

The Mercedes Cup final will be contested by top seed Janko Tipsarevic and Juan Monaco in Stuttgart. Tipsarevic saw off Thomaz Bellucci 6-4 2-6 6-4, while Monaco proved too strong for Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, winning 6-3 3-6 7-5.

And the Croatia Open final in Umag will see Marcel Granollers meet Marin Cilic after they saw off top seed Fernando Verdasco and Alexandr Dolgopolov respectively.

Elswhere, at the Campbell's Hall of Fame Championships, top seed John Isner moved into the final courtesy of a 7-6(4) 6-3 victory over Ryan Harrison. Isner will take on Lleyton Hewitt in the decider on Sunday, following the Australian's 6-4 5-7 6-2 defeat of Rajeev Ram.
