Britain's Heather Watson will get her AEGON Classic campaign up and running on Tuesday after Monday's schedule was washed out.

Watson was set to meet Paula Ormaechea on Centre Court, but the Guernsey-born player will now feature on Tuesday after organisers at the Wimbledon warm-up event were forced to abandon for the day without a point played.

Defending champion Sabine Lisicki, a Wimbledon semi-finalist last year, will look to find form ahead of Wimbledon following a shock first-round defeat at the French Open.

Francesca Schiavone is the top seed, with the Italian looking to bounce back from her third-round exit at Roland Garros. No. 3 seed Daniela Hantuchova had to pull out in Paris with a foot injury, while No. 5 seed Jelena Jankvoivc will be keen to reignite her love affair with Birmingham having won the tournament in 2007 and finishing as runner-up in 2005.
