Serena undecided on Olympic partner
Mixed doubles is making its Olympic debut this summer, with the tennis tournament held at the All England Club, where Williams has won nine Wimbledon titles; four singles and five doubles, one of which was a mixed doubles crown, with Max Mirnyi back in 1998.
Williams had suggested Andy Roddick would be her first choice partner, but now the 13-time grand slam champion has admitted she would prefer to leave her options open, with Bob and Mike Bryan and John Isner also in the running.
"A girl loves to have choices," Williams said. "Obviously the Bryans are like the world's best doubles players. Andy [Roddick] and I are super, super close.
"Personally I love John [Isner]. You're not going to break the guy. It's an automatic I-don't-know-how-many games. I think it's so hard to choose.
"I don't know if you just throw everyone's name in a hat and figure out what happens next. Regardless, we want to do really well and take home a medal for the country. That's what it's all about."
