May 26, 2014

As the push for Michael Hooper to take over the Wallabies captaincy intensifies, the New South Wales Waratahs back-rower has regained the lead in the Greg Growden Medal voting.

A standout performance against the Rebels saw him move ahead of Western Force No.8 Ben McCalman at the top of the leader board, while Brumbies half-back Nic White remains in third position.

Force captain Matt Hodgson is also in contention after his man-of-the-match effort against the Lions elevated him to fourth spot. Hodgson has been in fine form over the past month, which has seen him among the 32-names in the Wallabies squad to play France in June.
