Jordi Cruyff would have preferred Pep Guardiola to join Manchester United next season instead of their local rivals Man City.
Guardiola will leave Bayern Munich to take over City this summer, but Cruyff, a former Man United player, said Old Trafford would have been a better choice.
"I would have liked Pep at United - they have more tradition than City," he told Cope.
"It is a good moment to work at City, though, because they have the set-up, the money and the will to create a good team."
Manchester City have also been linked to a big-money move for Neymar, but Cruyff, currently the director at Maccabi Tel Aviv, said he would like to see the Brazilian stay at Barcelona, another of his former clubs and where his father Johan also starred.
"There is a mix between romanticism to always play for the same club and tempting offers from elsewhere. Money is very powerful," Cruyff said.
"We already know Neymar's situation at Barca is very good, but there are always better [offers]. I hope he stays."
