Gary Wilson secured an emphatic 6-0 win over 2012 world championship quarter-finalist Jamie Jones to move into the second round of the UK Championship in York.

Wilson - who is ranked 50 places behind Jones - made four half-century breaks on his way to victory.

There was another shock with Vinnie Calabrese edging Dominic Dale 6-5. Calabrese went 5-2 ahead but Dale fought back to force a decider, where the Australian notched a 70 to complete the win.

Meanwhile, teenager Sean O'Sullivan beat Anthony Hamilton 6-4, having trailed 4-0.
