Jonathan Davies came through his Scarlets return unscathed and could be ready for next Saturday's Six Nations clash against Ireland, according to head coach Simon Easterby.
Davies suffered a pectoral tear against South Africa in November and has been out of action since, but managed a full 40 minutes for his region on Saturday as they went down to a 29-10 defeat in the LV= Cup. Scarlets coach Simon Easterby confirmed he will need to discuss future plans with the Wales camp but was positive about Davies' return to action.
"It was always our intention to give him 40 or 50 minutes and it looked like he was fatiguing a little bit and that was his call but he was pretty happy with the work he got through," said Easterby.
"He's fine. He's been out for such a long time so he's going to be a little bit rusty but it was a good hit-out for him. It certainly wasn't a game where you could hold back. It was full on and they were pretty physical."
