A shortlist of six has been announced for the Premiership Try of the Season (ignoring the small issue of there still being one week of the regular season to go).

A gushing media release said the award would be presented at "a glittering awards ceremony" in London on May 15. In small print at the bottom it flagged that the event was sold out, so even if you wanted to go …

A raft of other awards will be dished out on the night including Player of the Season, Discovery of the Season, Dream Team, Forward of the Season, and TMO of the Season … Ok, one of those is not real …

Have a look at the six tries, and if your favourite is missing blame a panel of media "experts".
