Children from across the world to play at Saracens
ESPN Staff
February 17, 2014

Eighty disadvantaged girls from across the world will take part in a rugby festival at Saracens' Allianz Park in March to coincide with International Women's Day.

The festival, which is being organised by TourAid and Premiership Rugby, will feature children from Brazil, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, St Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, Swaziland and Uganda, as well as a team from the UK, the Southwark Tigers. While in the UK they will be hosted by local schools and accommodated in pairs with families from the host schools.

John Inverdale, a TourAid trustee, said: "This is long overdue. Our partners overseas do not differentiate between boys and girls playing the sport and through rugby we can change lives by ensuring these girls have every opportunity to be the 'outliers' in their communities, through education and youth leadership projects. The ten days will change the lives of all engaged."
