Crusaders fly-half Richie Mo'unga will join the All Blacks as injury cover ahead of their dead-rubber Bledisloe Cup clash against Australia in Brisbane.

Mo'unga -- who guided the Crusaders to Super Rugby glory earlier this year -- has been brought in with Beauden Barrett going through concussion protocols having picked up a head knock in the All Blackswin over South Africa on Oct 8.

Lima Sopoaga is in the All Blacks squad and will be the likely replacement if Barrett is ruled out.

Elsewhere, Luke Romano has been withdrawn from the squad after his wife gave birth, while Brodie Retallick hasn't been selected due to personal reasons.

Meanwhile, All Blacks openside Sam Cane has penned a new deal with New Zealand Rugby and the Chiefs until the end of the 2021 season.

Cane is set to play his 50th Test for the All Blacks this weekend.
