Italy face an anxious wait as to whether hooker Leonardo Ghiraldini and scrum-half Edoardo Gori will be fit to face Ireland on Saturday.
Ghiraldini suffered an injured shoulder and Gori a fractured rib during their RBS 6 Nations defeat to Scotland.
Italy boss Luigi Troiani called Zebre hooker Oliviero Fabiani and Treviso scrum-half Alberto Lucchese into his squad as injury cover, but admitted no decision had been made ahead of the round four clash in Dublin.
"We are waiting to evaluate Edoardo Gori and Leonardo Ghiraldini," Troiani told the Six Nations official website.
"Gori showed a small rib fracture against Scotland, while with Ghiraldini we are monitoring the progress on an injury to his right shoulder.
"We will wait to assess both players but Oliviero Fabiani and Alberto Lucchese were invited into camp to help us as cover for these injuries."
