USA suffer shock loss to Brazil in Americas Championship

The United States have suffered their first loss of the Americas Championship, going down to Brazil 24-23 at the Arena Barueri.

The Eagles conceded the first 18 points of the match but worked their way back into the contest with tries to Joe Taufete'e, Aladdin Shirmer and Niku Kruger.

But Brazil rallied and secured the victory with a late penalty from the boot of Moises Duque.

The Eagles had previously beaten both Canada and Chile and drawn with Argentina XV, and wrap up their campaign against Uruguay in Montevideo next weekend.
