France have been dealt a double blow after wingers Teddy Thomas and Marvin O'Connor were both injured on their return to Top 14 action.

Thomas suffered a hamstring injury during Racing 92's victory at Grenoble on Saturday and club head coach Laurent Labit does not expect him to be back in action before the end of the Six Nations.

"His hamstring has gone again," Labit said of Thomas, who started France's 10-9 victory over Ireland in Paris. "He felt a dagger in his thigh. With all the efforts he's put in, he was coming back well. Unfortunately he will be out for a few weeks.

"It will be difficult for him to get back into the French squad [before the end of the Championship]."

O'Connor, meanwhile, suffered a knee injury during Montpellier's 19-16 loss to Pau. It is reported he will miss between four and six weeks.
