Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea has urged Harry Sloan to learn from teammate Jamie Roberts, after the youngster signed a new contract with the club.
Sloan, a two-time Junior World Championship winner with England, has committed his future to Harlequins having made five Aviva Premiership appearances this term.
The 21-year-old is yet to line up alongside the Wales international, but O'Shea believes Roberts can help his colleague fulfill his potential.
O'Shea said: "He [Sloan] is playing the best rugby he has played for Quins and has shown that he can play at the highest level week in week out.
"Harry has a massive part to play for us as a club and his development will benefit massively from watching, playing and training alongside Jamie Roberts.
"It is really pleasing to see Harry make the first step to fulfil the potential he has and we are delighted he has re-signed."
Sloan added: "I love the culture at Harlequins and the style of rugby we play is incredibly exciting. I've been here for four seasons and in that time I have developed good relationships with the coaches and players.
"I'm looking forward to continuing my development by learning from those around me and in turn push for higher honours."
