Worcester Warriors have completed the signing of Samoa tight-head James Johnston.
Johnston left Wasps on Monday having not played a single game for the club since his move there in the summer. And Worcester have acted quickly to secure the services of the 14-cap prop who has played for Harlequins and Saracens.
"The scrum is an area where we've lacked a bit of experience so we're delighted James has agreed to be a part of our journey," Worcester coach Dean Ryan said. "He has a wealth of top-class Premiership and European game-time under his belt and will add great depth to our front row."
Thank you everyone for the messages! Excited to be at @WorcsWarriors looking forward to making some memories here. Can't wait.— James Johnston (@JayVJohnston) January 6, 2016
Johnston, 29, added: "Worcester are building something special here and I've been really impressed with how the club has moved forward in the past 18 months.
"I can't wait to join up with my new teammates and I hope I can add something to the pack and help drive us up the league table."
