Springboks duo Francois Hougaard and Willie Le Roux will play in next season's Top League after signing for the Canon Eagles.
The pair will hope to compete in the Rugby World Cup and will then journey to Japan. Le Roux has already committed to the Sharks for the 2016 Super Rugby season while Hougaard is still weighing up his next move with Exeter Chiefs rumoured to be interested in his services.
"I'm really glad I can become a member of the Canon Eagles after the World Cup," said Hougaard. "I've watched the game highlights of the Top League over the past two years and I saw they were technically very high, and I could feel a strong passion.
"I'm looking forward to being able to compete in this high level environment. I'll give out my best for Eagles to win the Top League."
