Valegro, the horse which won three Olympic gold medals with Team GB's Charlotte Dujardin, has retired from competition.
The 14-year-old mount does so after completing a special routine at London's Olympia venue.
He will continue to make celebrity appearances and give demonstrations, but rider Dujardin, 31, is already pursuing a successor in preparation for Tokyo 2020.
"I want to retire him at the top of his game," Dujardin, who is reportedly considering Mount St John Freestyle for the next Olympic Games, told BBC Sport.
"Now we can take the pressure off and go around and really enjoy ourselves. He deserves that. He's just the best."
