2017 Schedule
4-3, 1st in AFC South

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

The Titans are 4-3, tied for first place in the AFC South, relatively healthy with two starters expected to return after the bye week. After an up-and-down first seven games, the Titans are in great position. Tennessee's potential is apparent and it starts with Marcus Mariota, who can lead them to the playoffs.

Titans' Walker on crutches after spraining ankle

Titans tight end Delanie Walker suffered a sprained right ankle in Sunday's overtime win but appears to have avoided a more serious injury after he was unable to put pressure on the ankle while making his way to the sidelines.

Marcus Mariota and Mike Mularkey both pointed out the red zone woes as what's stopping them from being a consistently effective offense.

Delanie Walker was on the locker room using a crutch with a wrap/taping on his sprained right ankle.

Succop's kick in OT gives Titans ugly 12-9 win over Browns

Ryan Succop's fourth field goal -- a 47-yarder with 1:55 left in overtime -- extended his NFL record for makes inside 50 yards to 55 straight and sent the Tennessee Titans to an ugly 12-9 win on Sunday over the winless Cleveland Browns.

Sprained right ankle for Delanie Walker. Good news for how it looked.

Succop's 47-yard field goal seals it for Titans in OT (0:22)

Titans win 12-9 in a game that only feels like a win in the record book. Inconsistency, offensive struggles and Delanie Walker's injury are concerns for Titans heading into the bye. The positive: they are 4-3, tied for AFC South lead. Not much else.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Delanie Walker's right foot/ankle got caught up after that catch. He wasn't putting pressure on his right leg as he hobbled to the bench with help.

Browns get the ball in OT first. With 10-minute OTs, a tie is more in play than it used to be.

Career day for Kevin Byard. He becomes first Titans player with 3 INTs in a game since Keith Bullock in Sept. 2007.

Titans safety Kevin Byard is having a day. He's the first Titans player since 2014 (former CB Jason McCourty) to get two INTs in same game. Puts Titans in good field position but they can't punch it in.

First half Titans strike again. TENN offense stagnant, just 117 total yards, and not turning their two strong drives into TDs. Defense not getting many sacks, but holding Browns out of end zone and keeping Titans in the lead. If history holds, we'll see a completely different and more effective Titans team in the second half.

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

The lack of production from Marcus Mariota and the Titans' offense in the first half ought to be particularly alarming given who they are playing against. Entering today, no team had allowed a higher opponent Total QBR than the Browns.

Quinton Spain limped back to the locker room. Brian Schwenke is in there for him at LG. Spain had a turf toe issue a little bit ago.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Marcus Mariota's hard count has been lethal today, already got the Titans a couple of 1st downs.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Marcus Mariota used his legs for a first down, running seven yards. He's still unable to stop quickly but that'll come with time.

Titans D playing a lot like they did in first half last week - some zone, little pressure, allowing DeShone Kizer time to nickel and dime them. Wonder if we'll see more blitz sooner than halftime.
