Derek Carr continued his efficient, if unspectacular, play for the Raiders in their 30-16 loss at Cincinnati, which bodes well for the future. Hey, we're keeping it positive but real around these parts for a 3-11 team, right? Besides, Carr set a franchise record in not throwing an interception in his last 301 attempts, a streak running nine games. Up next? What promises to be a sublime Christmas Eve as the Raiders might be playing their final game ever in Oakland, against the rival Broncos, on ESPN's “Monday Night Football.” Buckle up, buttercup.

A pair of lost fumbles, by Derek Carr and Jalen Richard, two 15-yard penalties, on kicker Daniel Carlson and defensive end Arden Key, and Oakland's inability to slow Cincinnati's running game, the Bengals have rushed for 109 yards, have led to a 20-7 Cincinnati halftime lead.

Before heading to Cincinnati, Raiders coach Jon Gruden said he had no comment on Amari Cooper telling a Dallas reporter that it was Raiders owner Mark Davis who traded him, and that Gruden and then-general manager Reggie McKenzie did not want to deal the Pro Bowl receiver to the Cowboys. “I've read a lot, I've heard a lot,” Gruden said. “I've heard some things in the media that are absolutely hilarious. Aren't even close. So I'm not commenting on any of that stuff. We've got to get ready for Dan Ross, Boobie Clark, we've got to watch out for Isaac Curtis down the middle. We've got to get Tim Brown and all our receivers ready to play.”

If LG Kelechi Osemele and RG Gabe Jackson are unable to play, Chaz Green and Denzelle Good will start in their respective places. "Good players," said Raiders coach Jon Gruden. "Had a good week of preparation."

While FB Keith Smith was upgraded to a FULL participant in Thursday's practice and TE Lee Smith was added to the Injury Report, neither LG Kelechi Osemele not RG Gabe Jackson practiced for a second straight day.
