DE Adrian Clayborn's two-year contract with the Patriots is worth a base value of $10 million. He gets a $4 million signing bonus and has a $1.5 million base salary in 2018, and a $3.5 million base salary in 2019. In each year, Clayborn can earn $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses.

The Patriots have released veteran LB Shea McClellin with a failed physical designation, ESPN's Field Yates reports. McClellin missed the entire 2017 season (concussion), as he had been one of the team's designated-to-return players on injured reserve but remained on IR after experiencing a setback upon his return to practice. Because of that, McClellin wasn't projected to be a big part of the Patriots' 2018 plans.

In addition to free-agent OT Cameron Fleming visiting the Cowboys, fellow free-agent OT LaAdrian Waddle is also expected to visit Dallas, according to ESPN Cowboys reporter Todd Archer. Waddle, who has been with the Patriots since Dec. 16, 2015, had been in Foxborough late last week. With the Patriots' left tackle spot their biggest question mark, re-signing Fleming and/or Waddle would another layer of depth – but other teams are now interested.

Raiders trade WR-KR Patterson to Patriots

The Patriots have agreed to a trade to acquire receiver/returner Cordarrelle Patterson from the Raiders, with the two teams exchanging late-round draft picks.

Free-agent offensive tackle Cameron Fleming is scheduled to visit the Cowboys early this week, according to ESPN Cowboys reporter Todd Archer. Fleming has been a valuable backup since being selected in the fourth round of the 2014 draft out of Stanford, stepping in as a starter for 20 regular-season games. The Cowboys could be looking at Fleming as a starting right tackle, which would allow them to move La'el Collins back to left guard. In New England, Fleming would project to compete for a starting role at left tackle, as the team's right tackle spot is locked down by Marcus Cannon (who previously struggled when moved to left tackle).
