It's pouring down raining, but Dolphins are handing out 500 Thanksgiving meals that feed 6-to-8 people each to local South Florida families. Stephone Anthony, Ted Larsen, Kenny Stills, Jason Sanders, Matt Haack, John Denney, Quentin Poling among Dolphins players here:

Tannehill progressing; return vs. Colts possible

The Miami Dolphins returned from their bye week with optimism that Ryan Tannehill can play again soon, and he has not been ruled out to return Sunday at the Indianapolis Colts.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Ryan Tannehill threw yesterday and it went well, Adam Gase said. He's on a progression plan with throw distance & pitch count. Dolphins goal is to get him to practice where he doesn't feel a lot of pain and maybe have a shot for Indy, Nov. 25. But Miami's hope is just that right now. It's not clipboard time for Brock Osweiler yet.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Adam Gase said Jakeem Grant (foot, in walking boot after the game) & DeVante Parker (shoulder, in sling after the game) are having MRIs. He said nobody brought up those guys missing the rest of the season to him. Gase said they might not have 46 healthy guys to play if they had a game Sunday. He gave them the whole week off for the bye.

Stuck in the middle — Dolphins bye week plans should center around getting healthy and fixing their anemic offense.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Brock Osweiler: "I need to be better. This organization deserves better."

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins lost Jakeem Grant for the game to a leg injury. He's been battling an Achilles injury for weeks and was carted off the field. DeVante Parker also went into the locker room with a shoulder injury. When it rains, it pours for Miami.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins CB Bobby McCain is out with a head injury. He took an illegal blindside block from Equanimeous St. Brown. McCain was down for about a minute or two before slowly walking to the locker room.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins moved the ball with ease, and their backup heavy OL is holding up so far with just one sack allowed and 99 rushing yards. The difference lies in the red zone. Dolphins are 0-3, and have just 6 points to show for those trips. Packers are 2-2.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Frank Gore now has 14 consecutive seasons, every one of his NFL career, with 500+ rushing yards. That is most in NFL history. Gore keeps trucking. He has 7 carries for 68 yards on Dolphins first two drives.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Reshad Jones is not playing for the first quarter, discipline from not re-entered last week's game after being taken out in rotation. Minkah Fitzpatrick and T.J. McDonald started at safety.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

The Dolphins have now gone 20 straight games without an opening drive TD and 13 straight games without an opening drive point, both the longest active streaks in the NFL.

Dolphins inactives: Laremy Tunsil, Ju'Wuan James, Ryan Tannehill, Ted Larsen, Jonathan Woodard, Durham Smythe, Charles Harris

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Laremy Tunsil and Ju'Wuan James are inactive. Both of Dolphins starting OTs were questionable with knee injuries, and now they won't go vs. Packers. Starting LG Ted Larsen is inactive, too. Not ideal. Dolphins starting OL: LT Zach Sterup LG Jake Brendel C Travis Swanson RG Jesse Davis RT Sam Young Davis is the only starter from opening day. Miami is on their 3rd LG.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Charles Harris will miss his 5th consecutive game with a calf injury. Ted Larsen is doubtful meaning Miami will go to Jake Brendel or Wesley Johnson at LG Sunday. G Issac Asiata was also promoted from the practice squad, Kiko Alonso popped up with a Friday ankle injury and he's questionable. Ju'Wuan James, Laremy Tunsil, Jakeem Grant (Achilles) among those questionable at Packers.
