Case Keenum and Nick Foles were 2 of 9 Rams starting quarterbacks from the end of Marc Bulger (Nov. 22, 2009) to the start of Jared Goff (Nov. 20, 2016). The others, if you feel like reminiscing: Kyle Boller, Keith Null, Sam Bradford, AJ Feeley, Kellen Clemens, Austin Davis, Shaun Hill.

Mel Kiper Jr.'s first mock draft has the Rams selecting CB Carlton Davis out of Auburn, which underscores their need there. Trumaine Johnson and Nickell Robey-Coleman are free agents, and Kayvon Webster is coming off a ruptured Achilles. It's easily their biggest position of need.

Sean McVay tabbed Coach of Year by PFWA

Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams was named Coach of the Year by the Pro Football Writers of America. Howie Roseman of the Philadelphia Eagles was chosen as Executive of the Year.

Rams LS Jake McQuaide has been named to the Pro Bowl for the second straight year, joining P Johnny Hekker, K Greg Zuerlein, KR/PR Pharoh Cooper, DT Aaron Donald, RB Todd Gurley and LT Andrew Whitworth. Donald and Zuerlein won't participate. QB Jared Goff can join the group if he wants. He's a first alternate, and Carson Wentz, another Pro Bowl QB, won't be able to participate because of injury. Goff can't officially be named to the Pro Bowl until either Wentz has his end-of-season physical or his team advances to the Super Bowl. But because he's an alternate, Goff won't officially be recognized as a Pro Bowler unless he accepts the invitation. We should know by early next week.

The Pro Football Writers of America selected Tom Brady over Todd Gurley as their MVP. Gurley was Offensive Player is the Year, with Jaguars DE Calais Campbell — and not Aaron Donald — the Defensive Player of the Year. The PFW and Associated Press have chosen the same MVPs each of the last 13 years.

Los Angeles Rams run away with NFC West awards

There were plenty of standout performances, players and coaches in the division this season, but the L.A. team and its stars stole the show in 2017.

Matt LaFleur seems like a longshot at this point in his trajectory, but hey, so did Sean McVay. Regardless, perhaps it's the start of him getting noticed. LaFleur previously served as a QB coach under Kyle Shanahan with the Browns and Falcons. Could someday take over Rams playcalling duties.

Can confirm that the Titans will be interviewing Rams offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur for their head coaching job. LaFleur did not call plays this season, but he was big in assisting Sean McVay in his first year as head coach and playcaller. Under McVay and LaFleur, the Rams became the first team in the Super Bowl era to go from last to first in scoring from one season to the next.

The Rams had a league-best six players named to the Pro Football Writers' All-NFL team: RB Todd Gurley, LT Andrew Whitworth, DT Aaron Donald, K Greg Zuerlein, P Johnny Hekker, KR/PR Pharoh Cooper.

NFC West is opening up for Rams

A week of significant change in the division has the Rams looking like solid favorites in 2018, but the playoff loss to Atlanta still stings.

Rams RG Jamon Brown, on the steps this team took and the growth Jared Goff showed ...

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Rams GM Les Snead spoke to the media for 40 minutes today. Some takeaways: The situation with CB Trumaine Johnson is fascinating. Snead said he can "definitely" see a scenario where he's back, and so can I, especially with Kayvon Webster recovering from a torn Achilles and no real depth behind him. They'll have to pay him like a top corner. ... If anything has changed with Aaron Donald's situation, he isn't saying. But Donald can't hold out as long as he did last year because he would delay his free agency by a year. ... Snead credited WR/RB Tavon Austin with the way he handled a limited role. Snead wouldn't say it, but it's hard to see him coming back. ... Still expect S Lamarcus Joyner to get an extension and WR Sammy Watkins to get tagged. ... If you bring back Johnson, Joyner and Watkins, and you extend Donald, then you get to a point where you think the Rams may have to consider cutting ties with OLB Robert Quinn and/or ILB Mark Barron, because the savings is significant.

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Rams GM Les Snead, when asked about potentially saving money by cutting ties with LBs Robert Quinn and Mark Barron: "The goal is not to save money; the goal is to make sure you can fit everyone into the budget."

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Rams GM Les Snead said he can "definitely" see a scenario where CB Trumaine Johnson returns. Lots to figure out there, however.

Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer

Rams GM Les Snead, on Sammy Watkins continuing to grow in this offense: "That's a goal of ours."

Rams GM Les Snead on an Aaron Donald extension: "I can't put a timeline on it, but he is a priority."
