Jimmy G is hurt, the Seahawks are a mess and the Cardinals are simply not good. Has the NFC West basically already been won?

Rams WR Robert Woods started laughing when asked about Jared Goff's 16-yard keeper, that ended with a perfect slide. "I like it," Woods said. "It's another threat for this offense, dual-threat quarterback, picking up yards on the ground, another threat for the defense to watch."

Quarterback Jared Goff took command of the Rams' offense in a 35-23 victory over the Chargers, completing passes to six playmakers and even scrambling for 16 yards of his own. The Rams' offense has now posted 30-plus points in each of their three games, but as they prepare for a quick turnaround on Thursday night against the Minnesota Vikings, the biggest question is whether their star-studded defense will be ready after cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib left the game Sunday because of injuries.

Rams hold off Chargers 35-23 in LA's crosstown showdown

Jared Goff passed for 354 yards and three touchdowns, and Todd Gurley rushed for 105 yards and another score, leading the Rams to a 35-23 victory over the Chargers on Sunday in the franchises' first meeting since their relocations to Los Angeles.

Injuries sideline Rams cornerbacks Peters, Talib

The status of Rams cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib for Thursday night's game is uncertain after both suffered injuries Sunday against the Chargers.

Despite a variety of mistakes, the Rams lead the Chargers, 21-13, at half-time. In five possessions, the Rams have two turnovers, two touchdowns and a missed field goal. Todd Gurley fumbled the ball for the first time since Oct. 2017, Jared Goff tossed an interception in the end zone and Sam Ficken missed a 46-yard field goal. However, Cory Littleton continues to dominate on special teams -- he blocked his third punt dating to last season -- and the Rams recovered it for a touchdown.

I can't believe Cory Littleton blocked another punt for the Rams, this last one for a touchdown. That's three — three! — since the start of last season.

One thing you have to love about this game is that Philip Rivers is not going to be afraid to throw against this Rams secondary, as he showed with that perfect 42-yard touchdown pass to Mike Williams. This could be a lot of fun.

Pretty interesting that the Rams have liked running the ghost motion with Robert Woods so much. He really surprised them with his speed last year.

Rams CB Marcus Peters has intercepted four passes by Philip Rivers and is 6-0 against the Chargers after playing them for three seasons with the KC Chiefs. Rivers said earlier this week he would not shy away from throwing at Peters.

Decent amount of Chargers fans are sprinkled in, by the way.

Rams kicker Sam Ficken is warming up. Ficken replaces Greg Zuerlein, who is sidelined because of a groin injury. Sean McVay said strategy might shift in Zuerlein's absence, but they're confident in Ficken.

A warm welcome for the Chargers at the Coliseum. Two planes flying overhead are pulling banners that read, "Go back to San Diego, Chargers! LA doesn't want you!" and "NFL listen to Ice Cube, Chargers don't belong in LA!"

Rams DC Wade Phillips called Chargers QB Phillip Rivers an elite quarterback this week and said that Phillips can't be fooled by a defense. "He's going to know what you're in," Phillips said. "That's where he excels over most quarterbacks and makes him an elite quarterback is when the ball is snapped, he may take some time and change some things and he'll change protections." The Rams have only two QB sacks this season, but the defensive line is hopeful they'll get to Rivers. "Definitely hoping he holds onto the ball," Ndamukong Suh said. "We kind of see that when he likes to get downfield with the ball."
