For his part, Forrest Lamp said he feels good and ready to go. “It's just up to Coach Lynn, Pat [offensive line coach Pat Meyer] and all of them,” Lamp said. “They'll put me in when they think I'm ready. We have a really good offensive line right now. I've just came back and have been practicing for three or four weeks. [Michael] Schofield has been here for minicamp, OTAs and training camp, so it's kind of hard to break that chemistry up when he's doing so well.”

Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said that second-year pro offensive lineman Forrest Lamp is still working his way back from a torn ACL knee injury he suffered a year ago. According to Lynn, one reason Lamp has been a healthy scratch the first two weeks of the regular season is the Western Kentucky product has not fully regained the athleticism and explosion that made him one of the top linemen in last year's draft. When Lamp is active, Lynn wants him to be in the lineup for the long haul. “We don't him going up and down,” Lynn said. “As soon as we feel he's close to going 100 percent, he understands the speed of this game and he's confident in himself and that knee, he'll be back in there.”

Chargers QB Philip Rivers said he would not shy away from a Keenan Allen-Marcus Peters match-up, but that he's also aware the Oakland native had four picks against him while with the Kansas City Chiefs.
