K Lambo signs 4-year extension with Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed kicker Josh Lambo, who owns the franchise record for most consecutive made field goals with 24, to a four-year contract extension.

K Josh Lambo has been one of the Jaguars' most consistent players over the past two seasons and signing him to a four-year extension removes one worry heading into the 2019 season. Lambo has missed just three of his 41 field goal attempts (and only three of 44 PATs) since joining the Jaguars in October 2017. That included a franchise-record 24 consecutive field goal attempts from Nov. 19, 2017 to November 11, 2018.

Jets K Jason Myers just tried a 57-yard field goal in wet and windy conditions. Kick was short left, but AFC still leads 17-0 early in the third quarter of the Pro Bowl. Myers was 6-of-7 on field goals attempts of 50-plus yards this season.

That's a lot of green across the Orlando area. Even worse news: It's supposed to stay that way during the Pro Bowl and into Sunday night. Temperature not forecast to get past 55 degrees, either. Second year in a row for bad weather at the game.

The Jaguars say they have not made a decision regarding the 2019 option on TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins' contract, despite a tweet from Seferian-Jenkins in which he said he appreciated his time in Jacksonville but it was time for the next chapter in his career. The Jaguars have until Feb. 19 to decide whether to pick up the option year or allow Seferian-Jenkins to become a free agent. Seferian-Jenkins signed a two-year, $10 million contract with $4 million guaranteed last march, with the second year of the deal being a team option. "The team has not made a decision on his 2019 option," team spokesman Tad Dickman said. "Any reports to the contrary are false."

The Jacksonville Jaguars are teaming with a local restaurant to offer free meals to members of the U.S. Coast Guard, who are among the people impacted by the government shutdown. Eight Dick's Wings restaurants located in Mayport, Kingsland (Georgia), Mandarin, Merrill Road, Nocatee, San Pablo, Youngerman Circle, and Fernandina will offer the free meals between 5-9 pm ET on Thursday to active-duty Coast Guard members and/or their families (government-issued ID needed). The Jaguars are picking up the tab for all food and non-alcoholic drinks.
