The Chicago Bears have clinched the NFC North. They were +800 to win the division before the season at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.

The biggest NFL playoff implication of Sunday's early games: the Bears won the NFC North. The Colts' victory prevented the Texans from winning the AFC South. Meanwhile, the Cowboys' loss and the Redskins' win means we will have to wait at least one more week to get an NFC East champion.

The Bears appear to have Green Bay exactly where they want them, leading 14-3 at halftime and with the ball to start the 2nd half. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has thus far atoned for last Sunday's performance against the Rams by going 13 of 18 for 161 yards and 1 touchdown (118.1). Defensively, the Bears have taken full advantage of the Packers' beat-up offensive line by sacking Aaron Rodgers twice, and limiting Rodgers to just 92 passing yards.

With Bryan Bulaga out, Jason Spriggs will presumably be asked to play right tackle -- which some of the time will mean facing Khalil Mack. Last week, facing Vic Beasley more than anyone else, Spriggs performed admirably, posting a 96% pass block win rate. However, last season Spriggs struggled in pass protection with a below-average PBWR of 72%. No matter what, the Packers are losing one of the best pass blockers in the NFL in Bulaga (90% PBWR this season). Pass Block Win Rate is an ESPN metric powered by NFL Next Gen Stats.

The Chicago Bears are 11-3-1 ATS in their past 15 home games. They are 5.5-point favorites against the Green Bay Packers today.

The Bears are poised to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2010. Chicago captures the NFC North with a victory over Green Bay, or a Vikings loss to the Miami Dolphins. The Bears would also clinch a postseason berth with a Redskins loss to the Jaguars. Chicago will also look to finish 7-1 at home for the first time since 2005.
