Mack, Amukamara lead Bears over Seahawks 24-17

Khalil Mack had one of six sacks against Russell Wilson, Prince Amukamara returned an interception 49 yards for a touchdown and the Chicago Bears beat the Seattle Seahawks 24-17 Monday night to give coach Matt Nagy his first career victory.

The Bears defense is for real. Chicago harassed Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson the entire night, sacking him six times and recording a pick six in the Bears' 24-17 victory. There is still concern that Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky continues to struggle taking shots down the field, but on this night, the defense was able to finish off the mediocre Seahawks.

The Bears announce that all-purpose back Tarik Cohen is questionable to return with an ankle injury.

It has to be disappointing to the Bears to only lead 10-3 at halftime. Chicago outplayed Seattle in every phase in the 1st half, but a pair of Mitchell Trubisky interceptions allowed the Seahawks to stay in the game. After a hot start, Trubisky played an underwhelming 2nd quarter. The second-year quarterback's passer rating sits at 56.7. The Bears need better from the former second overall pick.

Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is outplaying Seattle's Russell Wilson thru 1 quarter. Trubisky's passer rating: 131.0. Wilson: 61.8. Trubisky continues to thrive early in games when head coach Matt Nagy is going off his play script.

The Bears announced that rookie Roquan Smith will start at inside linebacker vs. the Seahawks. Smith played only 8 snaps in last week's regular season opener at Green Bay.

Chicago Bears inactives vs. Seattle: safety DeAndre Houston-Carson, fullback Michael Burton, linebacker Isaiah Irving, linebacker Kylie Fitts, offensive lineman Rashaad Coward, wide receiver Javon Wims and defensive tackle Nick Williams.

Gruden: No Mack trade regrets despite 0-2 start

While Jon Gruden has bemoaned the lack of a pass rush through two winless games in his return to the NFL, the Oakland Raiders coach said he has no second thoughts on trading Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears on Sept. 1.
