LeSean McCoy, wearing padding around his midsection and a non-contact jersey, did not participate in a drill Thursday where the rest of running backs ran through padded bags. McCoy did take part in agility drills.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy said Wednesday that he will decide by Friday or Saturday whether he can play Sunday against the Vikings. "[I'll see] if I can actually go out there and run full tilt, full speed with no pain,” he said. “But it might be some pain. I'll have to deal with it.” McCoy said running with pain is the bigger issue than being tackled after what he estimated to be about 20 carries in a game. He said he would wear protective equipment over his damaged rib cartilage -- which he heard "crack" when center Ryan Groy fell on him Sunday -- if he plays. He was listed as limited in practice Wednesday.

McCoy: Ownership, teammates remain supportive

The Buffalo Bills are taking it "one day at a time" when it comes to LeSean McCoy's legal situation, amid allegations that he abused his 6-year-old son.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said he and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier will collaborate on defensive play calls moving forward. McDermott, who took over those duties from Frazier at halftime last Sunday, pointed to other coaches in his past collaborating on play calls to justify his decision.

McDermott on Davis: 'His actions have spoken'

Bills coach Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said on Monday that they have yet to speak to cornerback Vontae Davis following his abrupt retirement during Sunday's game but "wish him nothing but the best."

Bills coach Sean McDermott said Monday that he and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier are "still working through" who will call plays moving forward after McDermott took over defensive play-calling from Frazier in the second half of Sunday's loss to the Chargers. "Either way, Leslie is going to be a big part of what we're doing," McDermott said. Frazier said the two have collaborated on the defense already and "this really won't be any different."

Bills' injury report Monday, per coach Sean McDermott: RB LeSean McCoy (ribs, day-to-day), RB Taiwan Jones (no concussion, bruises and cuts), WR Ray-Ray McCloud (knee, will continue to practice), CB Phillip Gaines (dislocated elbow, chance he could play Sunday), CB Taron Johnson (shoulder, day-to-day), DE Shaq Lawson (hamstring, day-to-day).
