Houston started the day with a luxury tax bill of $13.9M but will see that number drop to $12.4M after the Faried signing and eventual trade of Carmelo Anthony the the Chicago Bulls. The Rockets will have an open roster spot once the Anthony trade becomes finalized on Jan. 22. Houston will also create a $1.5M trade exception as part of the trade.
