Chambers runs world's best 60m time this year

Dwain Chambers ran the fastest time in the world this year to win the men's 60m title at the Aviva World Trials in 6.50. Afterwards, a magnanimous Chambers - who won from Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Craig Pickering - declared his joy at just being able to compete in Sheffield.
"I don't know what to say. I'm just glad to be competing again. I really had to run because I had these young boys on my tail. I must be getting better with age, you know. It was good because the pressure was on, not just to win but to run well," he said.
In the women's competition, Joice Maduaka won in 7.29, her sixth UK indoor title. Maduaka - who competes in the 200m on Sunday - emerged late in the race after Bernice Wilson had taken an early lead.
Chris Tomlinson, the UK indoor record holder, found that his long jump distance of 7.75m was not enough to claim a victory. Instead Greg Rutherford emerged as the winner, with an eye-catching leap of 7.94m.
"I'm pleased with the win but I just got a little bit tired in the last rounds. I wanted to get over eight metres but it just didn't happen today," said Rutherford.
Vicki Hubbard won the women's high jump final with a distance of 1.87m, while Kate Dennison claimed pole vault glory.
