Great Britain's short-track skater Elise Christie has retained her European 1,000m title in her last race before the Sochi Winter Olympics.

Christie finished ahead of Jorien Ter Mors, who she lost her 1,500m title to on Friday. Christie's path to a gold medal in Sochi was made slightly less tricky after Olympic and world champion Wang Meng broke her ankle in training last week to put her participation at the Games in doubt.

Jack Whelbourne and Richard Shoebridge were both eliminated in Sunday's men's 1,000m quarter-finals. The pair join Christie, Charlotte Gilmartin and Jon Eley on the GB team for Sochi 2014.

Gilmartin went out in the women's 1,500m semi-finals, as did Whelbourne and Shoebridge in the men's.
