Britain claims showjumping's European crown
Great Britain's Olympic showjumping champions won their first European team title for 24 years in Denmark.
The team - Ben Maher, Michael Whitaker, William Funnell and Scott Brash - led overnight and a clear round by individual leader Maher helped them secure victory.
Britain are only the second country in showjumping history, after Germany, to hold Olympic and European crowns simultaneously.
"It is an unbelievable achievement," said Great Britain team manager Rob Hoekstra. "I am absolutely delighted. They all rode unbelievably. It was a different kind of tension from [the Olympics]. We were in front here, which we weren't in London, and everyone is trying to catch up with you in that situation."
But Great Britain failed to retain their dressage title despite Charlotte Dujardin setting a new world record on Valegro. The team finished third.
