Some sixty-eight Australian student-athletes are preparing to help their schools achieve ultimate success in the newly tipped-off college basketball season. Here are five Australian storylines to which we think you should pay most attention this season.

2018 point guard Kihei Clark has been clutch all playoffs for the Oakland Soldiers. Averaging 15 points, showing great poise. Steal for UC-Davis.

Kansas' Josh Jackson, on playing with off-the-court issues: "I've been really excited to play for awhile now. When I step out there on that court, I'm really not thinking about anything else but basketball. It's just a game and I'm going to just play it." Court officials released an affidavit this week that says Jackson threatened to "beat" a women's basketball player during a confrontation in December. Jackson scored 17 in Kansas' win Friday over UC Davis.

Kansas 100, UC Davis 62. Jayhawks survive and advance.

Actor Rob Lowe is in the house in Tulsa watching Kansas-UC Davis. Lowe said he is actually shooting a documentary in Tulsa, which is where Lowe's first movie "The Outsiders" took place.

Jake Trotter ESPN Staff Writer

Oklahoma City GM Sam Presti is here in Tulsa, presumably to see Kansas' array of NBA talent.

Jake Trotter ESPN Staff Writer

Whether it's been blocked shots, rebound slams or step-back jumpers, Kansas' Josh Jackson is putting on a show for NBA scouts.

Jake Trotter ESPN Staff Writer

UC Davis coach Jim Les drew a technical foul at the 7:17 mark, presumably to fire up his team, down just two. Instead, Kansas went on a 27-4 run to effectively put this one out of reach at halftime.

Kansas is finally rolling over UC Davis, thanks to a faster pace -- and Josh Jackson, who has converted a couple of NBA finishes in traffic.

Jake Trotter ESPN Staff Writer

More shaky play from Kansas, as the Jayhawks missed six straight shots at one point, including four on a single possession. Meanwhile, the UC Davis bench has given the Aggies a boost to keep the game close, while Kansas' bench has been a non-factor.

Jake Trotter ESPN Staff Writer

Sloppy start for Kansas, which has more turnovers (3) than field goals (2). Bill Self not happy.

ESPN Stats and Information

Everyone knows a 16 seed has never beaten a 1 and BPI doesn't see it happening when UC Davis takes on Kansas. Expect the Jayhawks to roll over the Aggies on Friday.

ESPN Stats and Information

UC Davis took care of business against North Carolina Central in its First Four win Wednesday, but now comes the hard part: a date with No. 1 Kansas on Friday. Needless to say, the odds are against the Aggies.

ESPN Stats and Information

UC Davis hasn't won much since joining Division I in 2004-05, but the Aggies' victory Wednesday set them up for a Round of 64 date with No. 1 seed Kansas -- a team that knows a thing or two about racking up wins.

Austin Ward ESPN Staff Writer

UC Davis is well aware of the history for No. 16 seeds and knows Kansas will represent a major challenge on Friday. But the Aggies aren't backing down after winning their first NCAA tournament game in the First Four, with Chima Moneke and his teammates looking to make history.

Austin Ward ESPN Staff Writer

The NCAA tournament debut was a successful one, but UC Davis may have made it harder than it needed to be in the First Four at UD Arena. The Aggies came up with the clutch defensive stops and enough free throws to knock off North Carolina Central, but they turned the ball over 18 times to keep the game close. That won't cut it moving on to Friday -- where Midwest No. 1 seed Kansas is waiting.
