Bucknell is still going to be one of the best mid-majors in the country -- and they scheduled that way. Bison are now 0-4, losses at Monmouth, Arkansas, North Carolina and Maryland.

Bucknell up by 15 on Maryland at halftime -- in College Park. Bison shooting 65 percent from the field and 70 percent from 3-point range.

North Carolina wins in Berry's return (0:37)

With West Virginia forcing a healthy but not outrageous number of Bucknell turnovers (15), offensive rebounding made the difference for the Mountaineers in their 86-80 win over the Bison. Nine different WVU players recorded at least one offensive board, as Bob Huggins' team pulled down 42 percent of its misses.

A year after he went scoreless in West Virginia's first-round loss to Stephen F. Austin, Nate Adrian made sure the Mountaineers advanced. The senior scored 12, pulled down 10 rebounds and added two assists to help WVU survive a pesky Bucknell team. WVU's press wasn't nearly as effective as usual, with the Bison able to score easily in transition and now the Mountaineers will facea Notre Dame team that doesn't make a lot of mistakes. The Irish average just 9 turnovers per game.

West Virginia will have to hit free throws to secure this. No guarantee

West Virginia's inefficiency on offense rearing its head here. Add that to Bucknell's fearless attack in transition and we've got a ballgame.

Bucknell failed to score in final four minutes of the half, allowing West Virginia to build back a 9-point lead. See if Bison have enough energy to mount another charge. First five minutes after the break could be telling.

Should add West Virginia killing itself, too, with some really bad and unforced turnovers.

Dana O'Neil ESPN Senior Writer

Try this on: the press is killing West Virginia right now. Deceptively quick Bucknell backcourt shredding it easily, leading to way too many quick buckets.

Dana O'Neil ESPN Senior Writer

Looked like Bucknell was about to get run out of the gym but the Bison are not easily rattled. When able to break the press, taking advantage and scoring easily on transition. Scrappy play by Nate Adrian is the difference for Mountaineers right now.

Bucknell meet Press Virginia. An offensive foul plus a turnover equals disaster. Mountaineers needed two minutes to break this game wide open.
