Woodstock Festival to be held at Watkins Glen: Original Woodstock promoter Michael Lang has announced that the official 50th anniversary concert will be held in Central New York. Lang announced Wednesday that "Woodstock 50," a three-day festival honoring the original 1969 event, will take place at Watkins Glen, located 80 miles outside of Syracuse, on Aug. 16, 17 and 18, 2019. Talladega tickets now on sale: Come and experience the celebration of Talladega Superspeedway's 50 Years of Speed! Teams to test at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: Four NASCAR Cup Series champions with a combined 10 titles highlight a list of 14 drivers tentatively scheduled to participate in a two-day test session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Jan. 31-Feb. 1. Seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, Las Vegas-born titlists Kurt Busch (2004) and Kyle Busch (2015), as well as 2012 champ Brad Keselowski, will be on-hand for the test, which will be open to the public free of charge. Formosa Productions and Bristol Motor Speedway work to bring NASCAR back to Nashville UPDATE: Formosa Productions Inc. and Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) have today reached an agreement to explore bringing major NASCAR racing events back to Nashville. The joint effort intends to combine local racing and other major motorsports events that once made Fairgrounds Speedway one of the premier raceways in motorsports.(12-18-2018)

Chicagoland Speedway to host carnival on NASCAR race weeekend: Chicagoland Speedway announced today that a Carnival will be added to the growing line-up of fan enhancements during the NASCAR Festival Weekend June 27-30. The carnival, a first at Chicagoland Speedway, will be set up in Champions Park, the ultimate pre-race fan experience in a park-like atmosphere with live entertainment and interactive displays, will be open Friday through Sunday. There will be family-friendly rides, multiple youth attractions and games including bumper cars, a Tilt-A-Whirl, Ferris wheel and more.[More](1-9-2019)

Watkins Glen International season tickets on sale: Tickets and camping for the 2019 season at Watkins Glen International will go on sale to the general public Tuesday, January 8 at 9 a.m. The calendar features exciting marque events such as the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen featuring the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship (June 27-30) and the return of New York's NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series weekend, with the Go Bowling at The Glen (August 4), XFINITY Series Zippo 200 (August 3), and K&N Pro Series East Great Outdoors RV Superstore 100 (August 2).[More](1-8-2019)

Richmond Raceway names Fan Advisory Board members: The Fan Advisory Board (FAB) at Richmond Raceway (Richmond) has a legacy as the voice of loyal fans at the historic track. Now in its ninth year, this group of Richmond fans continue to provide feedback and ideas to senior leadership to aid the growth and development of the track to deliver the ultimate fan experience. Auto Club Speedway planning five wide salute for NASCAR Auto Club 400: For the first time ever on the NASCAR circuit, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers will line up five wide during the pace laps prior to the drop of the green flag for the Auto Club 400 on March 17, 2019. The "Five Wide Salute" not only pays homage to Saturday night short tracks, but also celebrates Auto Club Speedway's signature racing style of flat out and five wide. Racers saluting their fans is a long-standing tradition and now NASCAR drivers will have the chance to do it in Southern California on the 2-mile oval that is Auto Club Speedway. [More](1-6-2019)

Progress continues on Talladega's vehicle tunnel: The hustle and bustle of the holidays are over, but not the construction efforts for Talladega Superspeedway's new Turn 3 Oversized Vehicle Tunnel, the first development of the 2019 Transformation Infield Project. Crews worked through much of the holidays and the tunnel walls are now coming to life as a result despite battling a host of inclement weather. In addition to the walls, rebar and concrete pours continue for the extension of the tunnel slab (nearing the infield entry/exit access).[More](1-5-2019)
