Midday seals second successive Nassau Stakes triumph

Midday produced a devastating late rally to seal a triumph in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood for the second successive year.
Tom Queally's ride appeared to be fading alarmingly in the late stages when she was overtaken by Stacelita, but a burst inside the final furlong was enough to secure victory.
The front two came together in the late stages and a stewards' inquiry was called after Midday triumphed by a length and a quarter, but the final result remained unaltered.
Evens And Odds went one better than his showing last year by storming to victory in the Stewards' Cup. Billy Cray's mount, a 20/1 shot, finished ahead of Jonny Mudball and Prohibit.
"It's definitely the biggest success of my career so far - by a long way," Cray said after the win.
