Champion flat jockey Richard Hughes is set to return to the saddle less than a month after fracturing his vertebra.

Hughes suffered the injury in a fall at the Dubai World Cup meeting in March, but his wife Lizzie confirmed he had now been giving the all clear to race again.

Hughes could ride as early as Friday, where he is expected to take up mounts at Sandown.
