Dynaste continued his rise up the ranks with an impressive display in the Fuller's London Pride Novices' Chase at Newbury.

Having toppled Fingal Bay on his chasing bow at Cheltenham, David Pipe's charge produced another assured round of fencing to score with authority.

The dashing grey tracked the front-running Valmari for most of the race and looked poised to challenge when the leader crashed out four from home.

From that moment on, Dynaste was allowed to ease home as Tom Scudamore did not have to ask his mount any serious questions.

Court In Motion ran a solid race in second, but his fencing was not as slick as Dynaste and he only got to within four lengths at the line as the winner was allowed to coast home.

"His jumping was neat and accurate," Pipe said. "It probably didn't tell you a lot more but he's done it very nicely. Whether his end target will be two and a half or three miles, we don't know yet but he's safely on to the next step.

"He does go slightly left but the Feltham Chase (Kempton, December 26) will have to come into the mix."
