So You Think has been ruled out of Saturday's Coral-Eclipse on account of injury.

Aidan O'Brien's globetrotting superstar was expected to bring the curtain down on his illustrious career in the Group One contest but was found to be lame in his box on Thursday.

Stud duties in Australia beckon for So You Think, who was a winner of the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot last time out, and he is now likely to be retired.

The news is a blow to connections and race organisers, as So You Think was odds-on to defend the title he won 12 months ago in a thrilling clash with Workforce.

The Godolphin runner Farrh, beaten by So You Think at Royal Ascot, has now been installed as favourite for the feature race on Sandown's card.
