Maybe looks unlikely to run in Friday's Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot - despite being one of 12 declared for the race.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained filly was considered one of the leading contenders for the Coronation, having placed third in the 1000 Guineas and fifth in the Investec Oaks.
O'Brien's wife Annemarie tweeted: "Maybe is a doubtful runner in Friday's Coronation Stakes due to a stone bruise."
Before the news broke, there was little separating Homecoming Queen, another O'Brien filly, and Maybe at the head of the betting.
