On the day the PRO12 fixtures were announced for the 2014-15 season, the Celtic League also confirmed Guinness would be the tournament's new title sponsors.
Guinness take over from RaboDirect who ended their association with the PRO12 last season. John Feehan, CEO of the PRO12, said he was"delighted" Guinness have come on board and he is hoping for a bright future for the Celtic League with Sky Sports signing on as broadcasting partners for the forthcoming season.
The new season of PRO12 rugby kicks off on the weekend of September 5-7 with the eye-catching fixture in the opening round seeing a repeat of last season's final as Glasgow Warriors host Leinster at Scotstoun Stadium.
Elsewhere on the opening weekend, Connacht host Newport while Edinburgh travel to Munster. The Scarlets start against Ulster while Mark Hammett's Cardiff Blues journey to Zebre and the Ospreys open up at home against Treviso.
"The kick off times for the first half of the season will be issued shortly, I for one can't wait to watch last season's top two go into to battle as Glasgow Warriors set to with Leinster in the opening weekend," tournament director David Jordan said. "The many highlights of the Guinness PRO12 season include the games over the Christmas holiday period, where the celebrated derbies are among the feast of rugby that we are all looking forward to next season."
