Joost Luiten is one of three players to lead the Volvo Golf Champions in Durban, but grabbed the highlight of the day with an albatross during the second round.

Luiten carded a five-under 67 to top the leaderboard on seven-under, alongside England's Tommy Fleetwood and home favourite Louis Oosthuizen. They are one shot clear of Victor Dubuisson.

Luiten had four birdies and two bogeys, and he produced the albatross on the 10th par-5.

"Yeah, [it was] my first albatross," he said. "I hit a four iron and basically went straight at it, just pitched exactly where I wanted, just front of the green, and then hopefully releases up the slope and that's what it did.

"It went straight at the pin and it went in so, yeah, it was a good feeling. I am seven under for the tournament, and in a great position for the weekend."

Oosthuizen was a shot adrift of round one leader Raphael Jacquelin, and the reigning champion once again was solid on the greens with a three-under 69.
